Sean Paul Joseph: Born March 7, 1979. He originally went by Sean Paul, butto avoid confusion with the Jamaican reggae artist of the same name he has assumed the stage name Sean P.
Sean P is originally from Decatur, Georgia where he met up with his partner in crime J-Bo at Miller Grove Middle School. This evolved into the musical partnership the YoungBloodZ bringing their own style of southern rap and crunk. In 1999 “Against Da Grain” was released by the YoungBloodZ, “U-Way” (How We Do It) is the best known single from this album.
The YoungBloodZ went on to make two more albums: The 2003 release “Drankin’ Patnaz” and, “Ev’rybody Know Me” was released in 2005. With Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, The tentative title of the YoungBloodZ third album is “Bad Influence”, andis due to be released in early 2009. Sean P has a considerable body of work aside from his YoungBloodZ projects including J-Bo. Along with other artists he released “Hood Anthems”in 2007, and he is currently working on his new solo project with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment titled “Very Necessary” with a projected 2009 release, includes the new single “I’m A Hoodstar”.
