Facial implants are prosthetic appliances enclosed underneath the soft tissue of the face to modify the underlying structure to enhance the appearance of specific elements of the chin, cheek, or lower jaw.

Dr Behnaz Yazdanfar saysDuring the procedure for a chin implant, the surgeon identifies the suitable shape and size for the implant to improve the patient’s face and inserts it into a cavity over the anterior of the mandible. The small incision is cut following the lower lower lip to carve the pouch and the implant is placed withininside the mouth or in the skin just beneath the chin area.
For a cheek implant surgery an incision will be made either inside the patient’s upper lip or the bottom eyelid. A pouch is then formed and an implant is tucked inside.
A lower-jaw implant surgical procedure necessitates internal incisions to be made on both sides of the bottom lip to supply an entry for creating a pocket into which the implant can be introduced.

The duration and severity of swelling and discomfort may vary, particularly if another cosmetic surgery procedure was carried out in conjunction.
