The TrackBoyz; Mark “Tarboy” Williams and Joe “Capo” Kent, managed by Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, have engineered and produced dozens hip-hop singles and LPs. Williams started his career as a performer and was also eking an existence selling background beat tracks when he was introduced to Kent in St. Louisin 1997, and they have been producing beats ever since.
The TrackBoyz started to be widely noticed producing for Nelly (Cornell Haynes, Jr.) as “Nellyville” rose to the top of the Billboard charts in 2002. Nelly was one of the first rappers to break out of the local St. Louis scene, and TrackBoyz production team were no small part of his success.
The TrackBoyz have also worked with various artists including D12, Sean P, J-Kwon, Nappy Roots, and many others with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment. Immediately after the TrackBoyz took J-Kwon under their wing they commenced to promoting his single “Tipsy”, quickly dominated the urban markets and nearly toppedof the Billboard charts in 2004. Today Tarboy and Capo continue to sign and develop new talent.
