Sean Paul Joseph: Date of birth March 7, 1979. He used to go by Sean Paul, butto avoid confusion with the Jamaican reggae artist Sean Paul he now goes by the stage name Sean P.
Sean P hails from Decatur, Georgia where he crossed paths with his artistic counterpart J-Bo back when they went to Miller Grove Middle School. This evolved into the musical partnership the YoungBloodZ bringing their own style of southern rap. “Against Da Grain” was released by the YoungBloodZ in 1999, “U-Way” (How We Do It) is the best known single from this album.
The YoungBloodZ went on to make two more albums: The 2003 release “Drankin’ Patnaz” and, 2005 brought the release of “Ev’rybody Know Me”. With Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, “Bad Influence” is the tentative title of the YoungBloodZ third album, andis due to be released soon. Sean P has a considerable body of work aside from his YoungBloodZ projects accompanying J-Bo. “Hood Anthems” was released by Sean Pin 2007, and his current solo project with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment titled “Very Necessary” due to be released early 2009, includes the new single “I’m A Hoodstar”.
