Several Issues On the TrackBoyz & Jeremy Geffen Entertainment

by on July 29, 2009

Mark “Tarboy” Williams and Joe “Capo” Kent as the TrackBoyz, managed by Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, have engineered and produced dozens hip-hop albums and singles. Williams got his start as a performer and was managing to scrape by peddling tracks of background beats when he was introduced to Kent in St. Louisin 1997, and since then they have been producing beats together.

The TrackBoyz first started gaining notoriety while doing production for Nelly (Cornell Haynes, Jr.) when his album “Nellyville” rose to the top of the Billboard charts in 2002. Nelly was one of the first rappers to break out of the local St. Louis scene at the time, and the TrackBoyz contributed a large part to his success.

Williams and Kent have also produced projects for artists such as D12, Sean P, J-Kwon, Nappy Roots, and many others with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment. Soon after Tarboy and Capo signed on J-Kwon they began promoting his single “Tipsy”, rapidly overran the urban markets and nearly toppedof the Billboard charts in 2004. Today the TrackBoyz continue to sign and develop new talent.
