The TrackBoyz; Mark “Tarboy” Williams and Joe “Capo” Kent, managed by Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, have produced and engineered many hip-hop albums and singles. Williams got his start as a performer and was managing to scrape by recording and selling background tracks when he met Kent in St. Louisin 1997, and ever since they have been producing beats.
The TrackBoyz began to earn some notoriety producing for Nelly (Cornell Haynes, Jr.) as “Nellyville” rose to the top of the Billboard charts in 2002. Nelly was one of the first rappers to break out of the local St. Louis scene, and his producers the TrackBoyz were major contributors to his success.
Tarboy and Capo have also produced projects for various artists including D12, Sean P, J-Kwon, Nappy Roots, and many others with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment. Soon after Williams and Kent began to develop J-Kwon they commenced to promoting his single “Tipsy”, which took the urban markets by storm and crept near the topof the Billboard charts in 2004. Today Tarboy and Capo continue to sign and develop new talent.
