Sean Paul Josephwas born March 7, 1979. He used to be known as Sean Paul, butto avoid confusion with the Jamaican reggae artist with the same name he now goes by the stage name Sean P.
Sean P grew up in Decatur, Georgia where he met his artistic counterpart J-Bo when they both attended Miller Grove Middle School. They later formed the YoungBloodZ performing their own brand of southern rap and crunk. The YoungBloodZ released “Against Da Grain” in 1999, which is best known by the single “U-Way” (How We Do It).
With the YoungBloodZ Sean P went on to make two more albums: The 2003 release “Drankin’ Patnaz” and, the 2005 release of “Ev’rybody Know Me”. With Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, The tentative title of the YoungBloodZ third album is “Bad Influence”, andis due to be released soon. Sean P has a considerable body of work aside from his YoungBloodZ projects along side J-Bo. Along with other artists he released “Hood Anthems”in 2007, and he is currently working on his new solo project with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment titled “Very Necessary” with a projected 2009 release, includes the new single “I’m A Hoodstar”.
