The TrackBoyz; Mark “Tarboy” Williams and Joe “Capo” Kent, managed by Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, have produced and engineered several hip-hop singles and LPs. Williams started his career as a performer and was managing to scrape by recording and selling background tracks when he was introduced to Kent in St. Louisin 1997, and since then they have been producing beats together.
Williams and Kent first started gaining notoriety as producers for Nelly (Cornell Haynes, Jr.) when his album “Nellyville” climbed up the Billboard charts in 2002. Nelly was one of the first rappers to break out of the local St. Louis scene, and TrackBoyz production team contributed a large part to his success.
Williams and Kent have also produced projects for such artists as D12, Sean P, J-Kwon, Nappy Roots, and many others with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment. Directly after the TrackBoyz began to develop J-Kwon they began promoting his single “Tipsy”, which took the urban markets by storm and climbed nearly to the topof the Billboard charts in 2004. Today the TrackBoyz continue to sign and develop new talent.
