by on August 7, 2009

Mark “Tarboy” Williams and Joe “Capo” Kent as the TrackBoyz, managed by Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, have both produced and engineered many hip-hop singles and albums. Performing is how Williams got his start and was making a meager income selling background beat tracks in St. Louis when he met Kentin 1997, and since then they have been producing beats together.

Tarboy and Capo began to earn some notoriety producing for Nelly (Cornell Haynes, Jr.) when “Nellyville” rose to the top of the Billboard charts in 2002. Nelly was one of the first rappers to break out of the local St. Louis scene, and TrackBoyz production team were major contributors to his success.

Williams and Kent have also worked with various artists including D12, Sean P, J-Kwon, Nappy Roots, and many others with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment. Soon after the TrackBoyz took J-Kwon under their wing they commenced to promoting his single “Tipsy”, which took the urban markets by storm and climbed nearly to the topof the Billboard charts in 2004. Today the TrackBoyz continue to sign and develop new talent.
