Nana Patricia McPeak Launches www.NanaCea.com
Nana Patricia McPeak is a name associated with the nutraceutical field for she is no less than the initiator of two innovative companies, NutraCea and The RiceX Company. Inventor by scientific perseverance, she was innovator for NutraCea’s stabilized rice bran food and pre-digested higher value foodstuffs as well as its offshoot formulations. Patricia McPeak is one of the world’s leading authorities on stabilized rice bran, constituent formulation, and extrusion technology. She has been granted numerous patents for her research yields in the areas of health conditions ranging from diabetes, coronary heart disease, arthritis and joint health; furthermore, she has numerous patents pending in the field of gastrointestinal diseases as well as auto-immune disease states. After a successful run with NutraCea Patty recently launched a new look and new brand called NanaCea. More information is available at www.nanacea.com .
Blessed with out-of-the-box wisdom, RicePatty, as she is affectionately known, had visions of ending world hunger since childhood. She began her career by initiating a pioneering company in the field of fish protein concentrate and fish oil; exploring the possibility of converting numerous wasted food resources into everyday nutritious foods for the world’s hungry. Her research led to rice bran, the largest unused food resource on earth ending up as animal feed or dumped in landfills due to the bran’s structural instability.
RicePatty, teaming with some of the best brains in the field of stabilizing rice bran, worked industriously for 26 years to effectively neutralize the enzyme that rendered the bran rancid within hours of milling. Patty then co-founded and served as President and Director of The RiceX Company; she and her team perfected a proprietary system for deactivating the enzyme and, at the same time, preserving the unique and vital antioxidants that ensure an extended shelf life for these precious, health-inducing products. Enlisting renowned scientists, Patty conducted clinical trials on diabetes and cardiovascular health problems using RiceX’s stabilized rice bran followed by the filing of patents on these ground-breaking new products.
Patty then established NutraCea, a research-based biomedical foods company that develops and markets revolutionary whole food products based on stabilized rice bran derivatives. NutraCea was the pioneer and most important company in the new field of nutraceuticals — natural products that demonstrate pharmacological benefits in humans and animals.
Patty and her team are credited with the following patents (followed by an impressive array of application and process patents):
• “A Method for Treating Hypercholesterolemia, & Artherosclerosis.”
• “Supportive Therapy for Diabetes, Hyperglycemia and Hypoglycemia”.
• “Method for Controlling Serum Glucose”.
• “Methods for Treating Joint Inflammation, Pain and Loss of Mobility”.
Patty’s considerable professional contributions have been publicly acknowledged:
• “Women Who Mean Business” by the Sacramento Business Journal (September 1997).
• NutraCea as the 5th most innovative nutraceutical company in 2005 by Nutraceutical World Magazine.
In 2005, as CEO and COB of NutraCea, Patty acquired The RiceX Company and thereafter concentrated on her passion — the distribution of nutrient-dense bio-medical foods and formulations for starving people worldwide through her work as Chairman of the Board of Airline Ambassadors.
Beyond her nutrition programme, Patty has also been a major supporter of the Cure Breast Cancer Stamp Foundation and in February 2009 brought the Cure Breast Cancer Research Stamp to the people of El Salvador, who are now creating a significant fund dedicated to cancer research. She is collaborating with several Central American, South American and Caribbean countries and encouraging them to follow the lead of El Salvador and Belize.
Not one to rest on her laurels after stepping down as Chairman and CEO of NutraCea, Patty continues to seek new solutions in order to improve the lives of the less fortunate — from one person at a time to potentially millions. Accordingly, Patty started a number of new companies with a view to delivering
millions of dollars in disaster relief, food, clothing and medical aid to Central and South American countries, as well as Africa and Asia. Patty’s vision as a child to end the pangs of hunger among the world’s needy has seen a giant leap into reality today. Airline Ambassador and the joint fund of AAI and the RicePatty Foundation are dedicated to bringing nutritious whole food products from wasted food resources to people in need worldwide.
Patty, through her new brand NanaCea® is presently working with a dedicated team to bring an exciting new generation of power-packed nutritional products superior to the formulations created in the past. One of Patty’s newest companies, HydroCea, is providing healthful solutions to the problems associated with water. FuelCell Technologies is a SweetaCeutical® company which has created a nutritional sweetener from natural substances. CeaSweet® is a low-glycemic, low-calorie sweetener with no chemicals or aftertaste. All of NanaCea products are sweetened with the SweetTooth SweetaCeutical® System. All NanaCea products are diabetic-friendly.
In seeking a treatment for her husband’s pancreatic cancer, Patty found a group of doctors in Central America with immune-enhancing homeopathic treatments for many different kinds of cancer and immuno-deficiency disease states. She is now President and Chairman of the Board of BryoMed International which has 11 products approved for sale by prescription in the Central American-4 Countries and Belize. BryoMed has just received approval for the registration of the first 4 products for sale by prescription in the U. S.
Patty’s goal is to have “Health-Creation Centers™” all over the world with doctors trained in administering the non-toxic NeoBryXol and BryoMiXol therapies which are designed to turn on the immune response. A further goal of these centers is to deliver natural whole food-based products to help nourish the body back to health and to change the terrain in the body through the use of nutrient-dense whole food complexes and water which alkalize the body. Terrain management is vital to the recovery and prevention of degenerative diseases.
Patty, from very young, has had a loving relationship with animals. After rescuing two thoroughbred race horses, Patty dedicated herself to creating an innovative line of equine products based upon her rice bran ingredients. Claiming her first horse on December 27, 2008, she began a record-making career as the owner of NanaCea Racing Stables, an innovative nutrition-based equine center. At the close of her first meet at Phoenix’s Turf Paradise, she was tied for third place as the “winningest” owner for that season; note that Patty missed the first 3 months of the meet and had only two horses capable of racing at the beginning of January 2009. Patty has been ranked as high as 26th “winningest” owner by Equibase.com, the owner of The Daily Racing Form and has 30 horses in her stable.
